European Stocks Lower

Spread betting and contracts for differences on the European stock market

Spread bets and CFDs on European stocks should consider that they have dropped today on news out of the U.S. The news that home prices and consumer confidence in the U.S. has fallen is not encouraging to European investors, who see the signs that the world's largest economy is slowing.

Concerns that the entire global economic recovery will be slowing are worrying many, who are concerned that a double dip recession could be on the way for the U.S. As a result, European stocks are lower on these concerns for the global economy, with the CAC 40 and German DAX lower, as well as the FTSE 100.

It also is not helping that euro zone unemployment remains stubbornly high.
