European Indices Gain on Greek Austerity Plan

Spread betting and contracts for differences on European stocks

Spread bets and CFDs on European indices should consider that things are looking a little better today. Earlier in the session, European markets moved higher on Greek austerity plans. In spite of protests by the public, the government plans to implement budget cutting measures.

However, the gains by European stocks were limited, and now major indices have slipped back into the red. Investors are unsure of how well Greece can implement these measures, and there is still some concern over other European countries' exposure to Greek death.

The FTSE 100 is following along with European indices, heading a bit lower as the trading day continues.
