| March 02, 2010 | | Spread betting and contracts for differences on U.S. stocks | Spread bets and CFDs on the U.S. stock market should consider that futures are pointing to a higher open. Bulls appear to be firmly in control, with yesterday's rally and today's prospects.
Deal activity continues today, after yesterday's mergers, and this is a good sign for Wall Street. Markets in Europe are higher right now, including the FTSE 100, and Asian markets saw some good success, too, in spite of ending mixed.
BloggingStocks reports on the stock market:
"The main focus in the markets continues to be the Greek debt crisis
and whether Germany and France are prepared to offer Greece a financial
lifeline to help it borrow the money it needs in the international bond
markets," the AP reports.
With rumours swirling that the Greek situation is stabilising, it is little surprise that stocks are responding favourably. They are also getting some support from higher commodities.
