| February 26, 2010 | | Spread bets and CFDs on European stocks | Spread betting and contracts for differences on the European stock market should consider that things are moving along today. A measure of equanimity is being resorted to the markets after the recent turmoil.
Issues still plague Greece, but European markets are focusing on some good news right now. Europe is seeing some success following the revision of U.K. GDP upward for the fourth quarter. The news is also helping the FTSE 100, which is seeing some positive movement.
The good U.K. GDP news is not enough, however, to overcome the funk the sterling is in, and the U.K. pound remains down against the U.S. dollar in spot forex trading.
