U.S. Stock Market Can't Hold Yesterday's Gains

Spread bets and CFDs on U.S. stocks

Spread betting and contracts for differences on the U.S. stock market should consider that things have calmed down since yesterday. Bulls are pulling back after an enthusiastic showing and heading lower. The Dow is lower, as is the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq.

Right now, insurers are bearing the brunt of the losses, bringing the Dow lower, and likely to help send it to a close below 10,000. While economic news has been reasonably good, there are still questions about economic recovery, and how well things are going. As long as there are doubts about how things are going to play out, action on the U.S. stock market is likely to be choppy.
