Economic Stimulus Bill, Foreclosure Prevention Plan Can't Help U.S. Stock Market

Spread bets and CFDs on U.S. stocks
Spread betting and contracts for differences on the U.S. stock market should consider that they are rather pessimistic right now. Even though the U.S. economic stimulus bill has been passed, and a new foreclosure prevention plan is being put into effect, there just isn't room for optimism on the U.S. stock market.

Economic data has been dour, and that means that investors aren't sure that recent economic stimulus measures are adequate to overcome the problems faced by the U.S. economy.

Car makers GM and Chrysler are asking for more government aid, and former Fed chair Alan Greenspan says that this will be the worst recession since the 1930s. There certainly seems little for the stock market to cheer about, and as a result stocks are falling again.
