Do U.S. Banks Need More Capital?

Spread bets and CFDs on individual equities
Spread betting and contracts for differences on U.S. bank stocks should consider that there is talk of increased capital infusions to help them remain solvent.

As the Obama Administration began sending in regulators to conduct stress tests of the banks, it became rather evident that there are serious solvency issues with some of the most venerable of U.S. banking institutions.

Now there are talks of increased capital infusions to keep banks solvent -- hoping to keep them from failing. It will be interesting to see whether more capital will be used, or whether the States will decide to nationalise some of the banks.
