| December 18, 2008 | | Spread bets and CFDs on U.S. stocks | Spread betting and contracts for differences on the U.S. stock market should consider that the bulls are really hoping things will turn around today. After yesterday's stock market rally disappeared in a haze of profit taking, there is hope that things will be different today.
So far, things are looking hopeful. Stock futures are up, and this is pointing to a possibly higher open. But we will have to see what comes out in terms of economic data: Unemployment numbers are expected today. Also, financial firms continue to post earnings and make forecasts.
