On Friday, after a volatile day and some big losses, U.S. stocks turned around on the news that President-Elect Barack Obama wants to nominate Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary.
This morning, the news remains good for the U.S. stock market as Citi has come to a deal with the U.S. government for a bailout package. U.S. stock futures are indicating cautious optimism this morning, and we'll see how long that lasts through the open.
