U.S. Stock Futures Head Lower

Economic data takes toll on stocks
U.S. stock futures are heading lower today as the market awaits economic data. CPI and housing data are expected to be released today in the States, and investors are worried that there won't be signs of a solid turnaround for the economy.

Right now, the U.S. stock market is expected to open lower, although overall futures performance is mixed. However, there is some small optimism following yesterday's gains at the end of the day, thanks to some stronger than expected performances from a few individual equities.
