Yesterday's down and up rollercoaster ended with the market lower, and stock futures are pointing to a much lower open today.
Even plunging oil prices cannot help U.S. stocks this morning. Indeed, nothing seems to be able to help the stock market -- even continued promises from the U.S. government that it will do everything it can to shore up the market and the economy.
Investors are quite clearly in panic mode.
