Financial stocks are recovering on news that the U.S. bailout package is a step closer to passage. Bloomberg reports on what is aiding European stocks:
UBS ``is ending a string of bad news,'' said Henk Potts, a
London-based fund manager at Barclays Stockbrokers, which has
about $45 billion. ``Tough action by the banks in relation to
writedowns and getting help from authorities should start to add
a little bit more confidence. Investors should also take heart
