| May 06, 2008 | | Oil futures in commodities trading | Thanks to an attack in Nigeria, and an expectation of an increase in US demand as the summer driving season approaches, oil prices are rising to record levels. Bloomberg reports on the items affecting oil futures in commodities trading:
``It's a little bit of Nigeria, a little bit of Iran, and a
little bit of the impact from the Goldman Sachs outlook,'' said
Gerrit Zambo, an oil trader at BayernLB in Munich. ``People are
seeing better numbers on the U.S. economic picture.''
The fact that oil prices are rising is also helping gold prices in commodities trading.
