Spread betting and contracts for differences on interest rates
A Fed rate cut is expected today out of the States. Many analysts believe that the cut will be 25 basis points. However, the big news, including for spread bets and CFDs on the Fed rate cut, is what is expected to happen after the decision is announced.

Many expect that after cutting rates today, the Federal Reserve will indicate that this cycle of easing will come to an end. The thought among some is that the credit market crisis is coming to a close and the US dollar has reached bottom.
