Mergers and Acquisitions Back on for U.S. Stock Market

Spread betting on the U.S. stock market should consider that mergers and acquisitions are helping the market recover today. Thanks to the speculation that a Fed rate cut is likely by the end of the year, and the Fed chairman Ben Bernanke is willing to intervene as necessary to keep the U.S. economy going, U.S. stocks are rebounding today. U.S. stock futures advanced on Wednesday as investors welcomed merger-and-acquisition speculation that has largely been absent in recent weeks as credit markets deteriorated.
