Rumours of an Emergency Fed Meeting Plunge U.S. Stocks Still Lower

Spread betting and contracts for differences on the American stock market
Spread bets and CFDS are pretty safe to short U.S. stocks today as the market plunges this morning, right after opening. After losing 300 points yesterday, the Dow Jones is down nearly 100 more points this morning as rumours circulate of an emergency Fed meeting. MarketWatch reports on U.S. stocks:

"Talk of an emergency Fed meeting and rate cut is making the rounds this morning, not surprisingly, as fear overwhelms the markets," said analysts at Action Economics.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average  was down 129 points at 13,138, as 29 of its 30 components opened lower.
