All of this is coming in spite of the fact that the euro is having troubles due to worries over subprime writedowns. However, it seems that financial sector stocks are doing well in Europe despite the worries. MarketWatch reports on the European stock market:
European shares started the second quarter on an upbeat note on
Tuesday, with financials such as Swiss bank UBS moving higher as
investors welcomed moves to draw a line under exposure to the troubled
