Strike at copper mine boosts copper futures
Copper prices are gaining in commodities trading on the news of a tight market.
Copper futures are up on the commodities market today as a strike at a copper mine in Papua New Guinea restricts supply. Copper prices are gaining in commodities trading on the news of a tight market. Bloomberg reports on copper prices in commodities trading:

``The concentrate market is very tight,'' said Robin Bhar, an analyst at UBS AG in London. The strike ``would help to tighten it up'' further should it last longer than a week.
