Placing spread bets on the currency market
Financial spread betting strategy on the US dollar should consider that it is showing some strength today on the currency market. AFP reports on the gains that the US currency is making, due mainly to the news of the Ambac bailout:

The dollar stood at 107.79 yen (107.14) and 1.0905 Swiss francs (1.0850).

The pound was at 1.9656 dollars (1.9662).
