Fed Cash Liquidity Plan Not Helping Global Stocks

World stock indices down this morning
Spread bets and CFDs on many of the world stock indices can consider shorting today as a widespread equity bloodbath takes place. Even though lending rates are falling due to the Fed cash liquidity plan, many stock indices are dropping as well, as investors consider that the plan will not offer a permanent fix to the credit crunch. Reuters reports on stock indices this morning:

"A dose of realism has kicked back in, the moves to co-ordinate monetary policy were good but people doubt if this is going to stop bad news coming out of banks," said Jeremy Stretch, strategist at Rabobank.
