Dow Jones Index called to open up 90 points

US Market Open

Yesterday’s knee-jerk reaction to the Fed’s lack of aggression with interest rates is looking a little extreme and there is an element of bargain-hunting on the cards for the open today. Hopes that the Fed will shortly announce a new liquidity support program are also tempting some buyers back in.

Our current expectations for the opening levels of the US markets are:

Dow      13522   Up 90 points

S&P     1487.8  Up10.2 points

Nasdaq 2101     Up 18 points
