| November 12, 2007 | | GFT predictions for European Markets | The last time the Dow was below 13,000 was in August, when the Countrywide Financial scare was first surfacing. This time around, the main concern is tech stocks, with Apple and Etrade the main fallers.
Tech stocks have been something of a safe haven during the past few months, and the fact that the bears are getting their teeth into these is symbolic of the heightened state of anxiety in the market.
GFT is calling all European markets to open lower on Tuesday morning. Our current quotes are:
FTSE 6273 Down 64 points
DAX 7733 Down 73 points CAC 5486 Down 50 points
AEX 503 Down 5.3 points | | |
