Japanese Stock Indices Drop on Market

Spread bets and CFDs on Japanese stocks
Spread betting and contracts for differences on the stock market should consider that a rising yen is usually bad news for Japanese stock indices. Both the Topix and the Nikkei 225 are down as risk aversion rises and the carry trade unwides. MarketWatch reports on Japanese stock indices:

"Today's decline was mainly due to the position unwinding in the carry trades... Until the middle of this month, there could be selling pressure from the funds' side from all over the world. It's mainly a supply-and-demand situation," said Masaki Iso, head of Japanese equities at Yasuda Asset Management in Tokyo.
