| October 22, 2007 | | Spread bets and CFDs on the U.S. dollar | Spread bets, CFDs and spot forex trades on the U.S. dollar should consider that dollar weakness seems to be an overall trend. Reuters reports on a selloff of the U.S. dollar earlier:
"There were some fears that somehow the G7 was going to
mention dollar weakness but this was not the case and this gave
the green light for dollar selling," said Chris Turner, head of
FX strategy at ING.
Even though it is worth noting that the U.S. dollar has regained some footing against the euro on the spot forex market, as well as gains against the sterling, overall dollar weakness is still expected on the spot forex market.
