| September 13, 2007 | | Spread bets and CFDs on stock indices | Spread betting on the FTSE 100 index should take into account that the index as a whole is reversing course, even though some of the stocks on the index are falling. Bloomberg reports on the gains made by the FTSE 100 index:
The FTSE 100 Index gained 7.9, or 0.1 percent, to 6,314.1 at
12:49 p.m. as 62 stocks retreated.
The main stocks bringing up the FTSE 100 index are Cable & Wireless and BT Group, which are both posting siginificant gains.
