| September 07, 2007 | | U.S. payroll data undermines confidence in global stocks | British stock indices are down, especially after U.S. payroll data came back weak. Confidence in global stocks is declining, and the FTSE 100 and the All-Share Index are both struggling on the news. Spread bets and CFDs on the stock market should take this into consideration. Banking stocks are leading the decline. Bloomberg reports on British stock indices:
``The market is clearly unimpressed by this figure which
could, in theory, give more weight to the possibility of a
recession in the U.S.,'' said Richard Hunter, head of U.K.
equities at Hargreaves Lansdown Plc. | | |
