Japanese Stock Indices Fall

Nikkei 225, Topix fall on U.S. economic news
Worries over recent U.S. economic news are hitting Japanese stock indices as investors worry about exporters. Both the Nikkei 225 and the Topix stock indices are down today, and investors are wary of Japanese stocks. Spread betting and contracts for differences should consider this from Bloomberg:

``Speculation the U.S. economy will be hit by the housing slump is stronger than ever,'' said Nobuyuki Kashihara, who oversees $26 billion at Mizuho Asset Management Co. in Tokyo. ``The volatile yen is reducing appetite for investment while people suspect all the bad news isn't out yet.''
