The French stock is helping to lead the CAC 40 Index higher this morning. Bloomberg reports on the success of Alstom on the stock market:
Alstom gained 2.42 euros, or 1.9 percent, to 131.63 euros.
The world's third-biggest maker of power stations won two
contracts valued at a total 1.85 billion euros ($2.53 billion)
to provide gas turbines for power plants in the U.K. and the
United Arab Emirates.
``Alstom is reinforcing its leadership in the turbines
market,'' Laurent Vallee, a fund manager at Richelieu Finance in
Paris, said in an interview. | | |
