| July 18, 2007 | | Spread bets on the spot forex market | It is possible to place spread bets on the spot forex market, and in many cases, it can be a good idea to spread bet on major currencies. Major currencies are those from established economies, and, with the exception of the U.S. dollar (which should be shorted), are gaining strength.
Major currencies offer a greater measure of stability as opposed to emerging market currencies. In addition to the U.S. dollar, the major currencies are the U.K. pound, Japanese yen and the euro.
