Spread betting and contracts for differences on stock indices
Both the FTSE 100 and the ISEQ are up today on the stock market. British and Irish stock indices are gaining, and spread bets and CFDs on them could prove profitable. Bloomberg reports on the rallies made by these stock indices:

The benchmark FTSE 100 Index added 55.3, or 0.9 percent, to 6211.8 in London at 12:54 p.m. in London. The FTSE All-Share Index advanced 29.86, or 0.9 percent, to 3224.79. Ireland's ISEQ Index rallied 219.74, or 2.4 percent, to 9525.32.

Indexes maintained gains after the Bank of England today left the benchmark interest rates at 5.25 percent. The European Central Bank raised interest rates for the seventh time since late 2005 to 3.75 percent.
