| October 19, 2006 | | It is possible to place small spread bets | One of the advantages of spread betting is that it is possible to start small, place spread bets as small as 10 pence per point on financial movements. This has a two-fold advantage:
- You don't lose as much money when you make a mistake.
- You can learn spread betting without having to worry about losing too much.
While you will still have to have a minimum deposit in a spread betting account with a firm to help cover losses, it is usually not an onerous amount. And it is still an advantage to be able to place small spread bets.
