Nominated by the readers of Shares, a leading weekly publication for market professionals and private investors, the 2009 Shares awards represent 26 categories of “bests” in the financial services industry.

The 2009 nominees were made public in the Oct 1 issue of Shares magazine, and the winners for each category will be announced publicly at an awards dinner on 17, Nov. 2009 at the Grosvenor House Hotel.

non-farm payrolls report could well define sentiment as we head into
the autumn.
“Whatever analysts may say about China and other
emerging markets, we won’t see a proper global recovery until US
consumer demand picks up, and that can’t happen while the US continues
to haemorrhage jobs. So we remain fixated on non-farm payrolls, and
it’s quite right that we should be, especially given the fact that the
FTSE 100 is so heavily weighted towards multinationals and dollar
earners.”

This is the second year in a row that GFT
